Savonlinna Region offers excellent facilities for organising meetings and other events. Getting here is easy by train, plane or car. Here is an example of an international conference that can be arranged in Savonlinna Region over 3 nights and with a full program.

Your management team arrives by plane from Helsinki to Savonlinna. The team then transfers from the airport to Kerimäki, where a guided tour of the world’s biggest wooden church is offered. The team then transfers to the guest house of Hotel Herttua followed by dinner, a meeting and saunas. At the end of the evening the team transfers to Savonlinna.

The other participants arrive by bus from Helsinki and stop on the way for dinner in Tertti Manor. Accommodation is at the Hotel Seurahuone.

On the second day a conference is held in Olavinlinna Castle. A guided tour of the castle is included. In the evening an offi cial reception is held at Savonlinna town hall. This is followed by a dinner cruise aboard a nostalgic steamship with live Finnish folk music.

On the third day the conference continues in Olavinlinna Castle until the afternoon, after which the day continues in Punkaharju visiting the Lusto Finnish Forest Museum and Retretti Art Centre. A local guide accompanies the group during this trip. Lunch is served at the historical Valtionhotelli, Finland’s fi rst tourism hotel. In the evening a medieval feast and farewell event is held at Olavinlinna Castle.
